Long in the making but fresh and surprising nonetheless is Kristal, a new seriffed text face by Eyal Holtzman. The sharp, sometimes blade-like letterforms give body copy an unusual sparkle and tingle, which becomes striking in larger sizes, especially in the italics. An all-caps titling variant plus ornaments round out the set, but don’t hesitate to also combine Kristal with other typefaces and bring out its adaptive qualities that can lead you into any direction.
